PA Ballroom Scrimmage, Harrisburg, Oct. 6, 2019
About 80 photos have been added since the original link was sent out on Oct. 9. Thank you to Terry for all the nice pictures so we can remember a fun day of dancing.
We had a wonderful time at this event. Maybe I shouldn't say that; maybe I should say, "I had a wonderful time at this event. Ask Bonnie, Jim and Terry what they thought."
The organizer was very accommodating for us. The music was good. The floor was very good. They had a coffee station with snacks, fruit coffee, tea, all FREE for the attendees. The room was comfortable and not freezing cold. The judges were VERY complimentary.
Thank you to Bonnie for her steadfast support of our little competition team. Thank you to Terry and Jim for being great partners and constantly improving. I included
So what is the point of competing? From my point of view as a senior citizen, the most important point of competing is having that goal out there in front of you to help you stay motivated to maintain some level of fitness. 74 dances spread out over 6 hours isn't too much of a challenge, but it's still a lot. Sometimes there were 10-15 in a row, but stamina was not an issue. If you don't get tired, you can really have a lot more fun. It was all fun; I loved every minute of the dancing.
